Easter Weekend

We had a great time visiting family back in Iowa for Easter. We were able to go to Iowa on Thursday night and return to Illinois on Monday afternoon so it was nice to have some extra time and not feel so rushed. M played golf with his dad and my dad on Friday. Unfortunatly, the weather did not cooperate and they only were able to play 6 holes before it started to rain. While they were golfing, my mom, G and I ran out to Babies R Us to get a few things for the baby. We ended up meeting the guys for lunch since they were rained out. We were able to spend some time with Grandpa Mont and Grandma Norma Friday night and they gave G his Easter basket. He was spoiled with clothes, candy, and a really neat toy Jeep.

Saturday we held a bridal shower for my cousin Sarah, who is getting married on May 31st. We held it at a restaurant and it was nice to enjoy a nice lunch without the boys and kids :) We played a cute game and enjoyed watching her open her gifts. After the shower we met the boys at my cousin Dawn's house and had dessert and an Easter egg hunt. G figured out that if you threw the plastic eggs, they would open and all the candy would come out!

Sunday we went to church with my family and got some more Easter baskets. G got some bubbles and sidewalk chalk to play with outside. Not to mention lots of candy :) He really loved his Easter basket from the Easter Bunny because he got a police car that has lights and sirens. We went for lunch at M's aunt and uncle's house and had some great food. We always have such a great time going to Iowa but are so tired when we get home!
