We had a productive weekend yet again. I told M that some day we would have weekends where we could just have fun instead of feeling like we had a lot of work to do. We really didn't want to go too far from home since G is recovering from a double ear infection. Friday night we ordered pizza from one of our favorite local pizza places, Firehouse Pizza. Friday night I decided to tackle my project for the weekend which was to scrub the tile floor that goes through our entry way and all through the kitchen. It needed to be done and instead of dreading it all weekend, why not get it out of the way right away? I scrubbed the tile on my hands and knees and wow was it clean! Trust me-it will not always get scrubbed like that. I think a sweep and then a swiffer will be just fine in the future!
Saturday we ran some errands. We had to go to the mall and get a few birthday gifts as well as an outfit for G to wear next weekend for B's baptism. I also found some cute white booties for B to wear with his baptismal outfit. M worked out in the garage all afternoon and finally can pull his car in. It looks great! Saturday night we made an awesome dinner of steak kabobs on the grill. My mom has a great marinade recipe that we have never done ourselves, so decided to give it a whirl. M and I loved it and G even had a little as well.
Today we did our usual Sunday grocery trip. I am going to the movie Eat, Pray, Love with some friends this afternoon. I am really looking forward to the nice break out because I really haven't gone out since B was born. I think it is time we break Daddy into caring for 2 kiddos at the same time! I am going to try to relax and enjoy myself but I know I will be checking my phone every 2 seconds making sure they are surviving at home :) Well that is all for the weekend. We will be busy this week preparing for family to come next weekend for the big baptism!
