Hello 80 Degrees

Wow was it warm here today! I think it got up to about 82 (maybe more?). While it felt nice, my body just wasn't quite used to feeling warm.... Not the best weekend here at the Schreurs' household. Friday morning I noticed drainage out of G's right ear. I remember when he got his tubes, they told us that we would know if they were infected because we would notice drainage. So I called and got him into the Dr. right away and we left with an antibiotic and drops (which he hates!) Then today B woke up from nap with a temp. He is in bed now but I can hear him up there coughing. M worked all weekend long. As much as it sucks for us not to have him here having fun with us, I know it sucks for him more to be putting in such long hours. He is torn between work and his MBA class, which he has a test in on Tuesday night. We are getting ready for a mini-vacation. We are traveling down to Raleigh, North Carolina for our good friend Adam and Catherine's wedding. M is an usher. We are so excited to see a lot of good friends that we haven't seen since college. Mixed with the excitement is nerves.....nerves for flying-it is not my favorite thing, as well as leaving the boys. I know they will be in great hands with both sets of grandparents, but I have only been away from G for one night and I have not left B yet. I know it will be good for all of us, but it still gives me a little pit in my stomach. So the beginning of this week will be spent preparing for the trip as well as making sure the boys get healthy. The only thing sadder than leaving my boys would be leaving sick boys!
