4th of July

We had a great fourth of July! It was funny because I thought back to last year and realized that B has really grown up. Last year, we knew he could never sit through a parade because he was crawling everywhere. And we knew that we couldn't do fireworks because he had to be in bed pretty early. This year we got to do both of those things and both boys were really good!

We started the day at a parade in a town close to ours. It was nice because it was on the smaller size so it lasted just around 30 minutes, which was perfect for our kids. We went with some good friends and also met another set of friends there. The kids all enjoyed hanging out together and catching candy.

G was all about catching the candy this year!

B was so cute, he was so into the parade he just sat and watched everything. He didn't even leave his chair.....

That is until the firetrucks came. He is just like his Mama and hates loud noises!

My friend Jamie and I do this quite often: show up wearing the same outfit. Hey-two women with great taste!

All of the kiddos, B is still traumatized by the firetrucks.

We came home and rested and spent the afternoon in the air conditioning. After dinner we headed to catch some fireworks.

This was how B sat for most of the fireworks-glued to me. Never mind that is was 100 degrees outside!

We finished the night by doing sparklers.

                                                                  What a great holiday!
