Well according to the blog, our life has stopped since our last post which was August 6th. That is defiantly NOT the case so I figured I better do a quick update!
This summer M finished up his MBA program from Illinois State University. This is such an awesome accomplishment for him! He has worked so hard on this and I know it could not have been easy to work a full day and go to class all night. All while not seeing the family. He started on this when I was pregnant with Gavin (so about 4 1/2 years ago). This has really been a big sacrifice for the whole family and I cannot tell you how proud I am that he has finally earned his MBA!
Daddy had a big trip to China for work a few weeks ago. It was long flights and a long week away from home but an amazing experience for him! He has some great pictures so I will make him do a guest post very soon to share them :)
The boys and I went back to Iowa for a few days while Daddy was in China. It helped us stay busy and see all the Grandparents and Jenna and Justin. The highlight of the trip for the boys and I was going to the Iowa State Fair with Grandpa Dean, Grandma Kim, and Aunt Jenna. I wish I had some great pictures to share but when I went to take my first picture my camera gave me the "No memory card" message. GRRRRR!!! The memory card was nice and cozy in the laptop which was back in Peoria. So I had to settle for my parents taking some pictures to document the event. The weather was gorgeous-in fact we were in sweatshirts in the morning! I don't ever remember being at the fair with such nice weather. We enjoyed all our favorite fair foods, taking the boys on rides including the Giant Slide. We watched my cousin sing at the talent show, walked through the building that held the baby animals, and did I also mention we did a lot of eating?! The boys were so well behaved and B even napped in his stroller for about 45 minutes which let us stay a little longer.
We are enjoying our last week of summer. Next week G starts preschool and the week after that B starts his "school" where I will drop him off one morning a week. We have had a great summer hanging with friends, going to the pool-zoo-Bicycle Safety Town-park playdates and picnics and so much more!
