A Little Landscaping Project

This weekend I finally convinced M that we needed to take care of some landscaping in our front yard. When we moved in, there was very little landscaping in the front yard-really only this hideous overgrown rose bush. This bush was MASSIVE and grew at a very fast rate! It was pretty common for it to grow and block the sidewalk or grow so tall it covered our address. I hated it! Especially since it was right in front of our house and one of the first things you saw. So after lots of my whining M decided to take out this bush. Here is a before picture:

It was a lot of work to get it out, the roots had grown pretty far underground and a root even had made it's way up the side of the house.

As you can see Daddy had lots of helpers!

And here is the finished product: We planted a burgundy colored bush as well as some seasonal mums (Cyclone colors of course!)

I cannot believe how much better it looks!! So refreshing not to have to look at the over grown bush anymore!
