Happy Halloween

We celebrated Halloween a few times at our house this year. Luckily there are quite a few events in our area that the kids enjoy going to every year. This year the boys went as Power Rangers. G was the red Power Ranger and B was the blue Power Ranger.

The first event that kicked off the Halloween-extravaganza was Howl-Zoo Ween. The kids walk through the zoo to do their trick or treating. The weather was awesome for it and we went with our good friends the Taylors.

The next event that we hit every year is the Boo Bash at the high school. The high school kids decorate the halls and dress up in some fun and creative costumes while the kids all walk through and trick or treat. They have games and let the kids decorate Halloween coookies. We went with the Schermerhorn family and got loads of candy!

The day of Halloween finally arrived and G had his Halloween party at school. Myself as well as another mom are the room coordinators for his class so we are in charge of planning all the holiday parties. I was able to attend the party and see all his friends in their costumes. The whole school did a parade through the gym (since it was raining) and then had their parties.

Halloween night we typically eat pizza with the neighbors before heading out to trick or treat. The weather was not good for trick or treating this year-it was pouring down rain! We went to about 10 houses and called it good. The kids were all soaking wet in their costumes and didn't protest when we told them it was time to go in.
