Mom's Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated my mom's birthday. Since my mom and I have birthday's so close we always go to dinner to celebrate both of the b-days. We went to this AMAZING restaurant last night called Centro. It is in downtown Des Moines so the atmosphere is really neat. The food was unbelievable. Amazingly enough, all 6 of us ordered the same thing, the three cheese medallions which were tender pieces of steak with three cheeses cooked on top. It came with fettucini and vegetables. It was really yummy! After dinner we went and drove through Jolly Holiday Lights which is sort of like the Festival of Lights in Peoria. G thought he was big stuff because he could sit in the front on grandpa's lap and ride. After we came home, we were all still stuffed from dinner but of course had to have some sort of birthday cake to celebrate. We had gotten my mom a cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory (Snickers), so we all ate a piece of that. All in all it was a really nice evening!
