Awesome Weekend

We made a trip back to Iowa this weekend. We hadn't been home since Christmas, so we wanted to get the kids home to see the grandparents. We had such a nice time and the weather even warmed up so we were able to get G outside a little bit to sled in the snow. Here are some pictures (in reverse order-sorry):

Obviously you can tell we had a lot of fun because this is what most everyone (besides Daddy) in the car was doing on the way home.

On Saturday night my parents watched the boys so M and I could have a night out with friends. We went to dinner with our good friends Chi Chi (Michael) and Morgan. Chi Chi and M were college roommates and M was the Best Man in their wedding. We don't get to see them near enough. After dinner we went to a Valentine's dance that M's Dad and other family members help run as a fundraiser for the Homebuilder's Association. They have raffle tickets for a ton of prizes, so it is always fun waiting to see if we will win anything big. This year the big prize was a tv. We did not however win it....surprise surprise. We did win a box of golf balls so I guess we didn't come home empty handed.

Saturday morning we took G sledding for the first time. It was really nice outside and G was very excited about his new purple sled. He was a little apprehensive about going the first time, and really preferred to have someone go with him. He went down once laying on his belly, and he decided that was his favorite.

The boys love spending time with both sets of grandparents, and I don't think the grandparents mind it either! I am so bummed because I forgot my camera when we went to Grandpa Mont's and Grandma Norma's. Grandpa Mont was such a good sport and played pretend firetruck with G for the longest time!
