The Winter Blahs

This Illinois weather is making me wonder why I live in the Midwest. I think I was made to live in the south-where it is always warm. Would I miss the snow-no! This past week we had a HUGE blizzard. We got about 15-18 inches of snow. Tuesday was the worst of it. I have never seen such a huge amount of snow and high winds combined! It was outrageous! Luckily Jenna and M were both home with me and the boys, so we were all safe under one roof and didn't have to worry about winter driving. We tried to keep busy since we were cooped up for a few days. G did some painting, playing with his trucks, watching some tv......whatever we could think of! I did some cooking, organized my pantry which was much needed (everytime you opened the door something would fall out)!

Along with the weather blahs everyone is this house has been trying to get over horrible colds. Friday I finally took poor B into the doctor. He had such a horrible cough that wouldn't go away and just wasn't acting himself. Well after the appointment I learned why....he had an ear infection, sinus infection, as well as conjunctivitis in his eyes. He has been on an antibiotic for a few days now so hopefully he will be on the mend soon.

G went out to help shovel-he was only out for a few minutes and his poor cheeks were rosy when he came inside.


Is this a snow monster? No-it is poor Daddy trying to clear the driveway :)
