Best Customers

I am beginning to think that we our the best customer's at our Pediatrician's office! On Saturday, G started coming down with a cold. He had a cough, runny nose, sneezing, the works. Now with most children, that would not require a visit to the Dr. But our little G Man is different. Every time and I mean EVERY TIME he gets a cold, he always has an ear infection with it. Since we are going back to Iowa on Saturday, I wanted to get this checked out before we left. It was sort of funny because when we went in the nurse is asking about all his symptoms and I described the cold symptoms. She then asked if he was showing any signs of an ear infection (fever, in pain, poking at his ears) and I said no. She sort of looked at me like, well then why did you bring him in? But I knew he had one, and sure enough, he had a left ear infection. The Dr. said his throat was pretty red too. I know this sounds weird but I am kind of glad that he has gotten another one so soon after the last because this is what we needed for the Dr. to want to send us back to the ENT Dr. I am going to call there and make an appointment and hopefully this will be the first step in getting tubes put in. While I don't want my child to have to go through any type of surgery, I also don't want to have to keep taking him into our Pediatrician's office once and a month and continually putting him on antibiotics. So hopefully we will be done with these ear infections soon!
