Out on the Farm

We had such a fun afternoon. My good friend/old neighbor invited us out to her dad's farm. He was harvesting corn and offered to let the kids ride on the combine. I didn't tell G that we were going until after he woke up from his nap-I knew he would be too excited to sleep. The weather was perfect for it. When G first saw the combine coming towards us, I think he was amazed at how big it was! He grabbed my leg and said, "Mommy I need a hug!" The kids got to go for a long ride in the combine and actually harvest the corn (I hope my terminology is right-I'm sort of a city girl :) G even made his farm visit official by peeing in the field. Hey, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do! Even B and I had a great time just standing out and enjoying the scenery and the weather. Thanks so much Andrea!
