We have had a nice weekend. We have gotten some things done around the house, had a BBQ with neighbors, done a little shopping, but most of all just trying to stay cool! Yesterday after naps, we headed to the pool. As much as I love the pool, sometimes it seems more energy than what it is worth. B is just at a tough age where he is not yet walking so he crawls everywhere. I have to watch him like a hawk because before I know it he is in too deep of water and is taking on mouth fulls of water. Then he just decides to crawl in and out of the pool and all over the cement. Add on watching a 3 1/2 year old, getting kids dressed and undressed in swimming gear (as well as myself), and excessive heat and that equals exhaustion! Some day I will be able to just sit and work on my tan while the kids play....in about 5 years! It was nice to have Daddy come with us this time and give an extra hand. The boys played, had a good time, and we stayed cool so it was a win win for everyone!
This week is supposed to be brutally hot! I like summer and all, but I don't know who likes almost 100 degree weather! I think we will be enjoying some time in the AC this week.
