Friday night we were back at my parents' house in Iowa. My parents had planned to have a cookout with family to celebrate my Aunt and Uncle being in town from Texas. Since they live so far away, we really only get to see them mainly once a year, so it was nice to get together. G had so much fun playing with my cousin's little guys Reed and Drake. They had a blast playing t-ball outside. They didn't care how hot it was!
I loved that we had food that remind me so much of summer, especially Iowa summers....hamburgers, sweet corn, fruit, and my favorite part-homemade ice cream!

This is how my parents make their sweet corn for a lot of people, they use a turkey cooker. It works awesome!
