What a Difference a Day Makes!

This picture was taken yesterday with some of our good friends. We were at the zoo enjoying the 54 degree weather.

And this picture was taken at our house today.........
Crazy right?! But this is what we get when we live in Illinois!

Excited to use his snow blower!

We probably wouldn't have left the house today but we had an important reason to get going. B was scheduled to get his tubes today. So we left plenty early this morning (6:30) to make sure we made it there by 7. We felt a little more comfortable this time around since G had already been through this. We knew what to expect this time.

This was me snuggling my little man before he went back for the procedure. I am not going to lie, I still had a little knot it my throat as the nurse came and took him out of my arms to take him back. He did well, the actual time he was in the operating room was probably about 15 minutes. I was not fully prepared for the way he would be waking up from the medicine-putting it nicely he was a beast! He screamed, flailed around, hit, and threw things for about 30 min straight. Yikes! He finally calmed down once we got him in the car. He slept some and then woke up when we got home. Other than sitting with me for a little while, he pretty much went back to normal quickly and was playing and eating normally.

He was a little sad that he didn't get to go outside with Daddy and G and play in the snow.

But we had some fun inside just the two of us.......pretending we were somewhere warm!

After dinner we had some fun and made some snow ice cream. It was really easy-we took snow and added chocolate milk, sugar, and vanilla. A yummy treat!
