Sorry for the lack of updates but if you ever notice a lack of blogging, it's usually because there hasn't been a lot going on. January for me is typically a tough month. The "holiday high" has worn off, my birthday is over, and it has set in that we have a long winter in front of us! I'm pretty sure I suffer from that seasonal depression....(half joking, half not). I really thrive with fresh air, warm temps, and sunlight so it takes a lot for me to smile with frigidly cold temps, snow and ice, and boys that have a lot of energy and just want to run outside. This year I am hopeful to not fall too far in the "winter funks" because I have a tropical vacation waiting for me in less than 3 weeks! M and I are long overdue for a vacation without the kiddos and we are very excited that we have some good friends that will be joining us. So in less than 3 weeks, I will be in the Dominican Republic.......so no complaining here!
The boys have been staying busy. G is busy at preschool and has been working very hard and learning his address and phone number. We are pretty close to both! B still LOVES going to his one day a week "school". He likes to sing the songs they learned to me throughout the week.
I had to share a cute story from G. Last night we needed to get out of the house and burn off a little energy so we took the boys to McDonalds for some ice cream and playing at the playplace. Good cheap fun! I could here G talking to a boy that he was playing with. Here' s what he said:
"My mom's name is Jessica. I think she is beautiful. Do you think she is beautiful?" (no response from boy-I'd like to think if he knew me he would agree). I hope G still says things like this when he is a teenager :)
