A few weeks ago we headed to Minnesota for a long weekend with my family. We started off on Thursday afternoon and the boys and M and I drove to Minneapolis and had dinner with my college roommate Caroline. We hadn't seen her and her husband in a long time so it was so nice to catch up and meet her little guy. The boys had fun playing with him and we spent the night chatting and taking the kids to the park.
After dinner with Caroline and her family we met my family back at the hotel. We all went to sleep to rest up for our big day at the Mall of America. Friday morning we went to the mall and the boys were amazed at the size of it. The highlights for them included the amusement park, the Lego store, and the plain old escalators!
Friday night we had dinner at the mall and headed back to the hotel to swim in the pool.
Saturday included a trip to Ikea (yay!) and a Twins game.
We took the train from the Mall of America to downtown Minneapolis. The boys loved it and it gave us a chance to see a lot of the city.
The boys had fun at the game but I think they enjoyed the food the most :)
