A Start To Summer

We have had a lot of fun being on "summer break" around here. The boys don't have school which means we have a lot more relaxed schedule during the week. Swim lessons on Tuesday mornings are about the only thing that is scheduled on the calendar on a regular basis.

A few weekends ago M and I traveled with some good friends to go to the Indianapolis 500. We spend the weekend there enjoying the activities which included a concert, Carb Day, and a parade in downtown. We had a lot of fun and it was an awesome experience to see how fast the cars really are-they are much faster in person than they look on tv! A BIG thanks to my parents and sister/brother in law for watching the kids even though my mom was a little under the weather after having some oral surgery. It was a weekend to remember!

Last weekend my friend Alison and I had a garage sale. The weather looked iffy but we got lucky and it really wasn't too bad. It was a successful garage sale and we got rid of a lot of stuff! The kids even had a lemonade stand to keep them busy. They made about $17 to split between them. They were so cute:)

Also last weekend we took G to Bicycle Safety Town (it is a bicycle park that has lots of space for them to ride) and Daddy taught him to ride without training wheels.

He did really well and Daddy got a lot of exercise running after him! With a little more practice he will have it down :)
