A Chilly Start to October

We had a lot of fun this weekend. Aunt Jenna and Uncle Justin came to visit G this weekend. He is totally in love with these two. I am not sure who has more fun playing-G or Jenn and Justin. He gets so excited to see them and constantly says,"Jenna!" and "Justin!" They arrived on Friday afternoon and we spent the day at the house playing and I made lasagna for dinner. Saturday Jenna and I went and did a little shopping in some of the cute shops on the square in our town. Saturday afternoon we headed out after G's nap to the apple orchard. We have been planning to do this for a few weekends, and each time it seems to be raining. Even though it was chilly and sort of rainy we decided to brave the weather and drive the 45 minutes to get there. When we got there it was 50 degrees, raining, and windy! Perfect. Oh well, we made the best of it and got our apple cider, apple cider doughnuts, and some apples to make apple crisp. We may try and go again next weekend to pick out our pumpkins and get some pictures of G with his Halloween shirt on. After the orchard, we went and had some pizza at an awesome pizza place in Peoria. It was such a fun and relaxing weekend, and it is always nice to have family visit.
