On Saturday we went with my family to Adventureland. My Mom's company has their picnic there so we were able to all get in free and also have a free lunch. To say that G was excited is a total understatement! He had never been there and probably had no idea what an amusement park was, but he knew it was something big! The day didn't start how we expected, we were prepared for hot weather, not rain.... On the drive there we kept thinking, "This must just be one of those "pop-up" showers they had talked about. Well it wasn't and it pretty much rained on us all day! Justin was the only one of us who had brought an umbrella, which we had actually made fun of him for doing. Well that little umbrella covered us all most of the day. But looking back, I think we all agreed that the rain was probably better than 95 degree weather. B didn't go with us. We knew he was too small to get to do anything and we just didn't want him out in the hot weather, so he stayed with Grandpa Mont and Grandma Norma.
Here we are trying to stay dry!
The train was the first ride of the day because it was covered :)
Look how wet he was! He certainly didn't let any rain stop him from having a great time!
This ride was one of his favorites. It took them up high (3 and 4 year old high) and then slowly dropped them down.
This is the ride that we waited in line for 45 minutes to ride. We all went except my Mom. Why not go on a water ride when you are already all wet?
Saturday night we got to spend some time with Grandpa Mont and Grandma Norma. They made a huge meal of steak, potatoes, sweet corn, and salad. They even had cupcakes to celebrate B's birthday since they weren't able to come to his party.G loves playing ball with Grandpa Mont and if he had it his way, he would be outside the entire time we were there.
