Lately......

Lately it has been a whole lot of COLD. Today the high reached 3 degrees. Yes that's right....3. G did not have school Monday due to MLK Day, Tuesday they had no school due to the cold. They did go on Wednesday and had no school again today due to the cold. That really seems to be the roller coaster we are on now. The sad thing is they have missed so much school-they missed 8 days because of the tornado and they have already had 4 snow days. The end date for school is locked in on June 4th so it really doesn't matter how many school days they miss. It's just hard to see those days wasted. 

G has started basketball. He's having a lot of fun with it. There really isn't a sport he doesn't seem to like. His team is called the Jazz and Daddy is the assistant coach. His good friend Charlie is on the team too.

B went to the eye doctor last week and has been doing really well with "patching". He wears an eye patch on his left eye to strengthen his right eye. He tolerates it really well and we do it every day in hopes of making progress faster. No idea how much longer we will have to do this but it was great to hear we are making progress. His eye patches have lots of designs so he likes to pick a different one each day.

On the bright side

Our Disney countdown is on! We finally told the boys about our trip to Disney World and they are of course excited. In order to avoid the questions of how much longer until our trip we made a visual countdown so they can see our progress. They take turns taking rings off our chain and it is the highlight of their day. The whole family has to be present for the ceremony each night. This picture was taken when we told the boys the first part of January. I'm pleased to say we have progressed up the door and are getting close to the door knob-29 days to go!
